Biography

Dr. Hoesung Lee has served as chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since October 2015. He is an endowed chair professor at the Korea University Graduate School of Energy and Environment in Seoul. His research centers on the economics of climate change, energy and sustainable development. He was the founding president of the Korea Energy Economics Institute, a government research and energy policy development agency.
