Leaders Summit

Global Cooperation and Solidarity for the Fight against Climate Change in the Ocean

Climate change causes abnormal phenomena in the ocean, such as glacier melting, rising sea level, and ocean acidification due to global warming. Moreover, it is devastating to marine life and the ecosystem. As the sea is a treasure trove in the fight against climate change that plays a critical role in regulating the global weather pattern, both global & national attention and endeavors are required.

Against this backdrop, the Leaders Summit will be held on the occasion of the World Climate Industry EXPO that is taking place in Busan to carry out discussions on the means to address climate change issues in the maritime sector.

At the summit, various countries and relevant personnel of international organizations will gather to discuss endeavors and directions to be taken by the International society under the theme of "Global Cooperation and Solidarity for the Fight against Climate Change in the Ocean."
