With studies in law and foreign trade, Carlos Ward Edwards is an entrepreneur in the world of transport and moving services. He has been an outstanding athlete, mainly in athletics, participating in different national and international tournaments from 1986 to 2018. Today he is the manager of the Universidad Católica de Chile Sports Club. He practices amateur sports such as tennis, cycling, paddle tennis and golf. As a politician, he has been a councilor for the Lo Barnechea commune, being elected in 2012 with the first majority. Today he is a metropolitan regional councilor of Santiago, having been elected with the first national majority. In the absence of the governor, he acts as president of the Regional Council. He is part of the national leadership of his party, the Independent Democratic Union.
